2010-2011 Undergraduate Research Grant

Undergraduate students are encouraged to apply for a 2010-2011 Undergraduate Research Grant. These grants provide up to $1,000 in financial support to undergraduate students who work closely with a faculty member to conduct research, engage in field studies, create projects in their discipline, or participate in similar scholarly/creative activities. Students may either design their own project or work on a professor’s project. Either way, students must work closely with a faculty mentor. Students are encouraged to contact faculty in preparation for making a proposal.

MDC-North Campus and USDA-HSINP to host National Federal Grants Conference Webcast for Hispanic Serving Institutions (HSIs)

Miami, FL 11/12/09 – Miami Dade College-North Campus and the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Hispanic Serving Institutions National Program (HSINP) will host a National Federal Grants Conference Webcast for representatives of Hispanic Serving Institutions (HSIs) on Friday – December 4, 2009 from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. (EST). The conference will be webcasted live to HSIs nationwide!
