ARSON - ON CAMPUS
Wednesday, November 18th at approximately 8:18 p.m. University Police Department personnel found a trash can on fire west of the Key Control office near the center of campus. The fire was immediately extinguished by UPD personnel.
At approximately 8:20 p.m. University Police Department personnel responded to a fire alarm and found a trash can on fire inside the Speech Arts building on the east side. The fire was extinguished by UPD personnel and the building was evacuated.
At approximately 8:45 p.m. a report was made to the University Police Department of a possible fire in an office located in the Social Science building. Officers responded and found a charred piece of paper inside the office.
University Police Department as well as the Fresno Fire Department are investigating all three incidents. There were no injuries or property damage caused from these three incidents. If you have any information about this incident please call University Police Department at (559) 278-8400

| Student Protests At CSU Fresno |
Students all over the nation today are protesting increases in tuition, reduced class offerings, furloughs and more. At CSU Fresno, students marched from Shaw Avenue to campus chanting and carrying posters and the like. The event was tame and offered the gathering of peace officers little to do. Go 'Dogs...!
Traffic on 19th Avenue was temporarily shut down today when students from San Francisco State University protesting cuts to educational funding poured into the street and blocked traffic. ~SF Gate |
