You can own a domain name for the price of a sandwich, and since many companies, game publishers included, don’t care much about dotting their coms, there are hundreds of game name URLs which lead to unaffiliated, or completely unrelated sites. Hey, who's in charge of domain registration? No one? K, sounds good!
