International Coffee Hour Presents Ukraine

INTERNATIONAL COFFEE HOUR

Date: Tuesday, September 28
Time: 2:00 – 3:00 p.m.
Place: Henry Madden Library Room 2206
Country: Ukraine
Presenters: Nataliia Kasianenko & Viktoriia Teliga

Located in the geographical center of Europe, Ukraine is a country with a very long history, a very rich culture, striking beauty and hospitable people. Ukraine has always been famous for its golden wheat fields and rich soil which have made this land "the bread basket of Europe". Even though the entire history of Ukraine is that of struggle and independence, it is the country with the oldest constitution in the world and the first university in Europe. Today, Ukraine is building its own state, strengthening its good-neighborly relations with other nations, and preparing to host the European Soccer Championship in 2012. Graduate students Nataliia Kasianenko, International Relations major, and Viktoriia Teliga, a Fulbright Scholar in Linguistics, will introduce their homeland to us on Tuesday. Join us!
