September 15th – Professor Alex Espinoza
“Coyote”

Alex Espinoza (Asst Professor, English) was born in Tijuana and raised in southern California. After earning his MFA from UC-Irvine, he published the novel Still Water Saints (Random House 2007) to critical acclaim. His reviews and nonfiction have appeared in the Los Angeles Times, the New York Times, and the Chicano Chapbook Series. A 2009 fellow at Bread Loaf Writers’ Conference, he is also part of Sandra Cisneros’ Macondo Writers Workshop and a proud Puentista.
