Mathematics and Science Teacher Initiative (MSTI)
Greetings!
We have exciting news for prospective middle/high school mathematics and science teachers! Fresno State's Mathematics and Science Teacher Initiative (MSTI) is once again offering a series of workshops during 2010-2011 covering the content on the CSET Mathematics and Science subtests. The science workshops are FREE and the math workshops only cost $25 for each 45-hour workshop! All are taught by experienced and talented educators who have an excellent track record in helping student succeed academically--and pass the CSET subtests.
In addition, Fresno State is also offering both a middle school science methods course and a middle school math methods course during Spring 2011 for Multiple Subject credential candidates/teachers who plan to earn a Foundational-Level Mathematics or General Science credential. (This course is required in addition to passing the first two CSET subtests in math or science.) MSTI will sponsor a middle school science methods course during Summer 2011 that is specially designed for current teachers.
As a special bonus, MSTI will reimburse CSET fees ($70/subtest), as well as the CTC credential application fee ($57) when a math or science credential is processed through our credential analyst's office at Fresno State!
Details about all of the workshops, classes, and fee reimbursements can be found on the MSTI Web site: http://csufresno.edu/teachmathscience Look under "Announcements" for the latest information! A 3-page announcement with all of the details (as well an information about math and science credential options) can be directly accessed at http://csufresno.edu/teachmathscience/docs/MSTI_2010_2011.pdf
We hope you will help us spread the word about these outstanding opportunities at Fresno State! Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions.
