CONGRATULATIONS, 2009-2010 OUTSTANDING ADVISOR AWARD RECIPIENTS!!

Faculty and staff recipients of the fifth annual Campus Advisors Network's Outstanding Advisor Awards were recognized at a reception in the University Dining Hall on Friday, May 7, 2010. They were selected from a strong group of candidates nominated by students and colleagues, and announced by the Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs, Dr. William Covino and the Vice President for Student Affairs, Dr. Paul Oliaro. Each of the following award recipients received an engraved trophy, a certificate, and a $1,000 stipend for professional development.

Joe Guerra – Student Support Services
Betsy Hays – Mass Communication and Journalism Department
Dr. Jose Lomeli – Curriculum and Instruction Department
Klaus Tenbergen – Food Science and Nutrition Department

These four went above and beyond typical advising duties to inspire many students to reach for higher goals, believe in themselves, and develop a love for their respective areas of study. They are an inspiration to both students and colleagues alike. Congratulations!
